This is a special Flight course developed for the professionals in order to train helicopter operations at night. The course includes technical and operational specific features of the NVG, pre-flight inspection, airspace surveillance, NVG hover power check and flight, VMC flight, NVG slope operations. The training also teaches to respond to NVG failure and perform all types of tactical terrain flight. Knowledge of night flight, distance estimation, dark adaptation, blind spot, visual illusions, risk assessment and management, as well as self-imposed stresses enhances students’ qualification to operate a helicopter in the dark or at night. The average duration of this course is up to 15 days, subject to student’s level of expertise and experience.
