Conversion Training is designed for flight personnel with previous aviation background (rotary or fixed wing) to learn operations on Mi-17 / Mi-171 helicopter types. This is an extensive in-depth course that includes a wide range of topics starting from general aircraft characteristics to specific knowledge of flight operation procedures.

Practical training starts with the Cockpit Procedural Trainer (CPT) exercises and is continued in one of the simulators. Simulator training is mandatory and allows the trainees to apply their newly acquired knowledge of normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures during simulated flight. The average duration of this course is up to 30 days, subject to student’s level of expertise and experience.
